Minister’s Message March

Message From Our Spiritual Leader
March 2017, Unity on Cape Cod

As we enter the season of Lent, let us remember that the Jesus story is our story as well, only in a different forms; but the theme and direction of the story, the archetypes and the events remain the same throughout time. The first days of our journey toward resurrection we are going through a lot of inner changes and deep reflection about the meaning of our lives. It feels to me that many of us are going through the same deep inner turmoil right now, at the beginning of our journey to higher consciousness. During the memorial for our friend David Long, I was reminded that from Spirit we have come and to Spirit do we return. It is not ashes to ashes and dust to dust; but Spirit to Spirit and Glory to Glory. We are amazing and beautiful creations of a perfect Creator.

In our forty days of transformation we too can travel the entire road of regeneration of our minds and bodies, and emerge victorious over the thoughts of death, as the living Christ we were born to be. As we move in consciousness from limited and separate human beings to the remembrance of our whole and perfect spiritual identity, a change takes place in the way we view the world and every living thing in the world. Now the world begins to take on the light of our awakened mind, and our oneness with all creation shines back at us in reflections of the universal will of a loving God.

The New testament has a wonderful description of this process in (1 John Chapter 4) where it states, “No one has seen God at any time, but if we love one another… His love is perfected in us, for as He is so as we in this world.” We are the representation of God-mind in this world. We are the hands and feet and mouth of the Almighty, spreading the good news that all of creation is One! There can be no separation in Heaven or in earth.

Look at your hands and remember, these are the hands of Christ, look at your feet and remember the same. And every time you open your mouth, remember who it is that wants to speak through you, and above all remember Life is eternal. No one and nothing can stop you from your own awakening and resurrection to the Truth of who you really are! Hang in there my beloved brothers and sisters. Easter is just around the corner, and with it will come the glorious rebirth of all that is holy and true.

Thanks for being with us. The Journey Continues !

Minister’s Message February

Message From Our Spiritual Leader
February, 2017 Unity on Cape Cod

As our New Year and our new energy grows in our community there is always much to do and to dream about for our future together. The most important thing for me to remember these days is to stay focused on the goal of inner peace and spiritual awakening. It would be so easy to get carried away with the work that lies before us, and forget about the fun and excitement born only out of the moments we share in the light of Truth. Every miracle and every moment of positive growth came to me through surrender, not sacrifice. Every happy event has always come with a joyful letting go into the flow of Divine Ideas, being expressed effortlessly in the present moment, and by accepting the guidance of my higher self. Deep listening, followed by purposeful action can bring us to beautiful places together. I don’t feel it is time to push or pull, strive or strain; but perhaps it is a time for contemplation, dedication and celebration.

When I allow life to come to me, I find a grace and ease I could never before imagine. However, trying to force things to happen before their time always leaves one in a tangle of frustrated memories. Let’s stay focused on our inner path and extension of the truth of our being. Plant the seeds of faith, hope and love this winter, and sit back and watch what a beautiful garden will emerge in the spring. To all my fellow gardeners, “Thank You” for planting your spiritual seeds with vision and purpose.

An amazing growth is taking place. Spring is right around the corner. I can already see and feel the garden in full bloom, but for now I will bask in the quiet of a winter filled with holy companions in the light.

Yours always in Christ Consciousness,

Rev. Tony

What the World Needs Now…

Unity.

Remember the old song … “What the world needs now is Love sweet Love”… This applies even more today than yesterday…  “Not just for some…but for everyone.”

More than ever the world also needs Unity.

United States.  United Nations.  This world needs to be as “One nation … indivisible…with Liberty and Justice for ALL”

If we expect something we are more likely to find it.

Our differences need not divide us if we embrace them with love and recognize the reality that we are all United in our desire to make things better.

There are many differences even within “Unity” about how to accomplish that goal.  That’s a good thing.

Here’s a way to express the plea for compassion to those who need to see the world as a competition:

When differences are expressed with love we all win.

Each of us gets to see a perspective we may not have considered on our own. Each of us gets to be accepted and loved.  That allows us to grow and change without being judged for the “false” starts and “mis”steps in our journey that have truly led us to the increasingly more wonderful places we are meant to be.

Acceptance of all nurtures hope like a sunshower upon the beautiful array of hearty wildflowers gathering in fields across our land.

Unity is not just the name of a community.  It is the means by which the community continues to survive and flourish.

I have encountered many  blossoms in the journey through Unity.  In gratitude I present two Wildflowers I found in today’s travels and as we head toward Martin Luther King day:

Sikhona…

Sawubona…

If you don’t know what they mean I offer you the words of advice my parents always offered me:  “Look it up, it’s good for you”.

PS  Even the same wildflower looks very different when we consider a new point of view… (See photo)

Happy New Year

This new year feels different to me. Something is in the air, something wonderful is about to happen, and is happening now. I have heard it said that this is the foundation to living a really happy and fulfilled life, to always believe something wonderful is about to happen. Even if I cannot see it, it is there waiting for me, waiting for us. Some very exciting and important things have taken place in this past year, but within my heart I feel we are just getting started.

This past year I completed my Spiritual Education and Enrichment program with Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute, and have embarked on the journey of a lifetime as the Spiritual Leader of UCC. Now I am enrolled in the Masters of Divinity program with UWSI Online Seminary, and we now have almost every night filled with uplifting programs and soul-enriching groups on the schedule. Our website is completely rebuilt and receives between twelve and sixteen hundred visits per month. Our youth program is flourishing and every Sunday is another day of celebration and awakening to the Christ in all of us. Our classes, workshops, concerts and movies are bringing a much needed message and experience of hope, comfort, caring, and transformation to so many across the region. Every day new possibilities await. Expanded awareness and higher vibrations of love can be felt growing within the community.

The membership is rising and so is our consciousness. We are grateful for a year of change and growth both individually and as a congregation. Our Spiritual Center is a vibrant community of inspired individuals working together to keep Unity alive and thriving on Cape Cod. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you not only have a place here at Unity, we want you to feel engaged and empowered to join us in making this the most amazing Spiritual Center we could ever dream of. Each of you have dreams and desires, not just for 2017, but I imagine for the many years to come. There is a lot of work to do and fun to be had by all of us in helping make those dreams become a reality. Whatever way you feel you can contribute to our community; the giving of your talents, time and treasure is what we are so very grateful for. Your continued involvement, or your new interest in Unity is so welcomed and appreciated. We Love you, we bless you and we behold the Christ in you.

Abundant Blessings this new year, as we grow together in Spirit and in Truth.

A Message From Our Spiritual Leader

December , 2016

christmas-1877931_640

There is room at the Inn. There is always room for one more to enter in and take his/her rest in God. The Christ light is being born in you this season. Everyone needs a place to nurture the Christ spirit within, until you are ready to demonstrate it fully in the world. The process of transformation can sometimes be like giving birth to a child. You have carried this child with you for many months and cared for the baby growing within you. Now it is time to give birth to this Christ child. You might be thrilled and frightened all at the same time. Yet still, the time has come and the moment is upon us.
Yes, there will be some labor pains and it may require more strength and certainty than ever before; but the midwives are present, and the family has surrounded you with their love and prayers. The world is still and quiet in anticipation of this glorious advent. All you need now is a place to rest as you bring forth this child of light. Perhaps one of the greatest gifts there is in having a spiritual center, is knowing you have a safe place to experience your own individual healing, growth and transformation.
There is a place for you here at Unity. We have kept this place open for everyone, no matter where you find yourself on your spiritual journey.
All of us have to walk our own path to God and in God.
It is so very comforting to have others walking this path with you. Even if our process seems different, we are all One in spirit and in truth, we are all just walking each other home. I just want you to remember that we always have each other to count on, and there is always an open door and always a room at the Inn for you, for one more to enter in and find the peace of God. Now all hearts are beating in harmony with each other in Unity.
In the house of our Father/Mother God there are many rooms, one has been prepared for you since the time you came into being. This Christmas we can let ourselves bask in the peace and joy of our true nature. You are the beloved one, the holy child of the universe and the light of this world. We are so grateful for your presence in our spiritual family.

Welcome Home,
Rev. Tony

Happy Thanksgiving

A Message From Our Spiritual Leader
November, 2016

In this time of gratitude and thanksgiving, I want to express my overwhelming appreciation and love for each and every one of you. I truly behold the Christ in the members of this congregation. Your desire and commitment to make me your spiritual leader has demonstrated a spirit of giving I have rarely seen in this world. Your attitude of gratitude and prosperity consciousness is not only a gift to Liliana and myself, but a witness to the power of God within us all, and a precious gift to humankind as well.

Lili and I wish to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you have done to make this happen. I have rarely seen such an outpouring of support in any community. We want to thank you for showing up every Sunday to help Celebrate love, Create community and Transform the lives of everyone around us. This is the mission of our Spiritual Center, and we will expand our mission for the future with your loving and dedicated participation. We thank you for attending the classes during the week, and the many workshops throughout the year. We thank you for coming to our concerts and dances and all the many special events we hold each month. We thank you for your sacred service and being active on the volunteer teams. We thank you for your wonderful work in the greater Cape Cod community. We thank you for welcoming new members with open arms, hearts and minds. We thank you for every hug, kiss, smile, handshake or prayer. We thank you for watching services online and visiting the website.
We thank you for your positive thoughts and great energy. And most of all, we simply thank you for being you! We love you just the way you are. We would never want any of you to change who you are. No one can be you except you. We all have discovered it is just a journey of becoming more of who we already are, a brighter, more expanded, more fulfilled, more loving and more awakened you. You are perfect as God created you. I am so happy we are on this journey together.
Together we will reach heights of spiritual growth and community building beyond our wildest imagination. I give all to Spirit and release the future into the loving hands of our Father/Mother God. As we embrace the moment before us, let us all remember to be grateful for all the many and marvelous gifts we have been given, especially the gift of each other. In principle, in faith, in truth and in Christ Consciousness… I honor the place within you where God resides, that place of pure unconditional love and light! This is our real Self…And we are discovering it together! Namaste’.

planet-581239_640 (1)After 35 years of exploring spirituality, metaphysics, and biblical history, while unaffiliated with any religion, I am so grateful to have found a spiritual home with like-minded souls at Unity on Cape Cod. Unity’s Sunday services are as uplifting as a revivalist camp meeting and as soul calming as a quiet meditation. And the spiritual energy in the room is palpable. I call it the angels in the room.

Ellen

lotus-1205631_640I have noticed I am experiencing some spiritual challenges these days. I am so grateful I am paying attention. It is a reminder to me how far my spiritual journey has taken me. I can recall going along with the crowd and not paying attention to my soul-speak. Of course when you do that it speaks louder and louder until you drop to your knees and listen. I am listening. The still small space is guiding me to a higher good. Some of it is uncomfortable. But most of it is transforming me in ways where I speak my Truth, share my disappointments, and release that which does not serve me. I cannot live my life any other way. And a funny thing has happened in that still small space- creativity, abundance and manifestation with a sense of disconnect from the world chatter. I am grateful.

Pathways to Unity

sunriseI was living and working in Honolulu in 1984 and doing a lot of healing work. I wanted a spiritual home and attended Unity on Diamond Head. The message was clear, practical and began an amazing time of self discovery and growth for me.
I have been involved since that time. I am grateful for the the deep and powerful gifts I have received and incorporate them in all areas of my life.
