  • Environmental Film Series 2026. Forever Home.

    Forever Home follows a young couple’s dream to provide the best possible life for rescued farm animals by rethinking the concept of “home.” Designs are based on the needs of the individual animalswith what Paul, an architect, calls "animal centered design." They provide a blueprint for a compassionate and sustainable future. This brand new film is a celebration of life and creativity.
    Discussion follows with the filmmaker Allison Argo, and Dr. Kumara Sidhartha.

    Besides his medical school training in India, Dr. Sidhartha
    is certified in Plant-based Nutrition by e-Cornell University and T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. He will talk about the impact of our food choices on our bodies and on the planet. His new book “All My Secrets” is about the impact of food on our bodies and how food can heal many of our ailments.

  • Unity Book Club. Mona’s Eyes.

    The April meeting of the Unity Book Club will take place on Tuesday, April 28 at 1:00 at Unity.  This month’s choice is Mona’s Eyes by Thomas Schlesser.  This novel is about a 10-year-old girl who may be losing her eyesight, who spends a year visiting masterpieces in Paris with her grandfather.  The themes are about beauty, loss, love, and resilience.

    Produced by local filmmaker Allison Argo for PBS,this extraordinary new film immerses us in the culture of these amazing creatures. They have a complex society and ways of communicating. they are beginning to make a successful comeback after years of being slaughtered for their ivory. This film takes us to Kenya where we experience what it would be like to go on safari to be in their presence. Speakers will include people who have been there.

    From May 9- May 23. ONLINE. The Unity Auction Team is excited to announce our third annual auction, happening May 9–23, 2026, and online only for the first time.

    Building on the success of our 2024 and 2025 auctions, we are now seeking donations of items, services, and gift cards from members and local businesses. The auction’s success depends on everyone’s participation; members are encouraged to ask businesses they frequent to contribute.

    Donation request letters are available in the sanctuary and online. Let’s come together once again in the spirit of giving and receiving.
