Our March book will be “The Delight of Being Ordinary” by Roland Merullo, author of “Breakfast with Buddha” and many other books enjoyed by the Book Club. Relating his experiences caring for endangered whales, a veterinarian and marine scientist shows we can all share in the salvation of these imperiled animals.
The image most of us have of whalers includes harpoons and intentional trauma. Yet eating commercially caught seafood leads to whales’ entanglement and slow death in rope and nets, and the global shipping routes that bring us readily available goods often lead to death by collision. We—all of us—are whalers, marine scientist and veterinarian Michael J. Moore contends. But we do not have to be.
Special workshop will also be offered by Michael and Linda McCluskey form 10:00 am till noon called, “Sustainable Living In Your Organic Homestead.”
This is a class for those new to ACIM as well as those who have experienced the Course for years. We will be learning how to apply the universal teachings and principles of ACIM to bring about recognition of our healing and wholeness.

The suffering in our world arises out of a sense of separation—from our own bodies and hearts, each other, and this living web. She will explore this trance of separation and how it’s led humans to destroying our larger body, earth. We’ll then look at the pathways of awakening to the truth of “interbeing” and responding to our precious world with love. Brach is a highly regarded teacher of Western Buddhism. Discussion will follow led by our FCEN (Faith Communities Environmental Network) co-leader Susan Starkey as well as Rev. Tony Cryer and others.
