Seeking A Spiritual Solution

In times of great despair, confusion and doubt there is always a certain place to go for healing and help, the spirit of the living God within us. The better way might be to go to that place before we travel too far down that rabbit hole of worldly care.

Seeking a spiritual solution is so simple; but for many, not always easy. We have grown so dependent on a way of thinking that may be hurting us. Perhaps it is time to focus our minds on a higher consciousness and a better way to think.

AN INVITATION…

To all our Unity family, you are invited to attend a service, this Thursday evening at 7:30 PM. At the Cape Cod Synagogue on 145 Winter St. Hyannis, MA. We stand in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters in honor of the victims from The Tree of Life congregation in Pittsburg, PA.
*Reminder, the Course in Miracles class at Unity is canceled this week.

From Rabbi David Freelund…
As we continue to wrestle with our grief and our shock from the brutal murders at Tree of Life in Pittsburgh, there has been a growing response right here on Cape Cod. We all stand together in this dark time.
To grieve, to reflect, and to connect with our many friends and supporters, we are having an interfaith service, Standing in Solidarity, this Thursday, November 1, at 7:30pm at the Cape Cod Synagogue. Representatives from many traditions and organizations will be present to offer their prayers, songs, and resolve in the face of evil. I encourage you to attend. More than ever, we vote with our feet. Your presence will ensure that you receive and give strength in a time we are all in need.

As A Man Thinketh

Proverbs 23:7 Reminds us of an ancient spiritual law: “As a man thinketh in his heart, so he is.” In the modern era we have proved this law to be true in many different ways. Scientifically, the Heart Math Institute for example has done exhaustive research as to the signals sent to the brain from the human heart. Unity and other New Thought leaders have called the thoughts of the heart, that which is held in our sub-conscious. Perhaps our hearts do have thoughts. The question is, are we willing to listen.
