I Affirm the Truth

The Unity Movement has been built on a rich foundation of affirmative prayer. In fact, affirming universal truth has reached into every aspect of daily living for millions of people around the planet. Affirming the Truth of our being heals our body and harmonizes our mind. It can balance our emotions and relationships and bring us into the realm of unlimited possibilities and abundance. If we are to be the evidence of God on earth, we must start by affirming the Truth.

Trusting the Spirit/ Accessing the Power of Faith

There is a tendency in the modern world to base your beliefs and philosophy of life upon the evidence of the senses. However, ask yourself how many times you have been mistaken. How often do you take your limited perception as fact, when so often it changes to something new and different in very little time? As our awareness grows, so does our view of ourselves and the world. Learning to trust and have faith in the Spirit always leads us to a greater, more loving awareness.

“Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen,” (Hebrews 11:1)

Unity and Religious Science: A Dynamic Duo!

The Rev. Helen Downey, former pastor of the Maui Religious Science Center in Hawaii, will be sharing with us some insights on Unity and Religious Science, two metaphysical philosophies which she sees as spiritual siblings.

Helen completed her ministerial studies in her native Southern California. During that time she also visited Unity Village in Missouri and was privileged to take classes there with some iconic teachers of the time. While on Maui, Helen enjoyed and embraced the heartfelt Spirit of Aloha, which she experienced as a purposeful expression of universal love, respect and harmony…a natural companion to metaphysical concepts.

After returning to the mainland, Helen continued many of these passions; and has continued to enjoy opportunities to share her enthusiasm for the principles of Religious Science and Unity which respect and are inclusive of all individual spiritual paths.
