Celebrating The Birth of the Christ In Us.
Please join us for our Christmas celebration service as we celebrate the birth of the Christ in us. The second principle of Unity points to the inherent divinity of every human being, the spark of Christ light which resides at the center of our being. This Christmas season we are joining together to help one another nurture this process of remembering who we really are. As the spark of divinity grows within our hearts and minds, we bear witness to a powerfully transformed world through the awakening of the Christ consciousness within us.
(This will be our only service this Christmas, please invite your family to attend… We will also be joined by the Unity Christmas Choir, rehearsal is at 11:00 AM. in the sanctuary on Saturday morning December 23rd.)
Bring a favorite dish or desert for a special Christmas Eve pot luck
after service Sunday December 24th downstairs in Friendship Hall.
If you can indicate what you will bring, there will be a sign up sheet on the table in the sanctuary. Feel free to surprise us with your culinary skills. For more information, Talk to Paula Long.
Our first Leadership Council meeting
The discussion at our last community conversations and at our most recent board meeting included the idea of strengthening our Spiritual Center from within. With this in mind, there is the idea of forming a Leadership Council, comprised of each of our ministry team leaders. This is inspired by the community centered model of leadership now being advocated by Unity Worldwide Ministries. Of course we will adapt it to fit our community. The first leadership council gathering is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, January 6th. If you are a team leader, please make room on your calendar for this date. We intend to move forward with great ease, grace, togetherness and joy. What fun to be expanding with such creative energy and new ideas!
With infinite gratitude…

Beatitudes Workshop with Laura Derr
The Beatitudes are Jesus’ powerful opening statement of his public teaching mission, the summary of all of his subsequent teachings. But the deeper levels of their original meaning have been lost in translation. In this workshop, Laura will share these original inner meanings, developed through working with the modern English translations by Neil Douglas-Klotz and Jayem Hammer, and through her own practice with Jesus’ modern teachings — A Course in Miracles, A Course of Love and The Way of Mastery.
Offered on a Love Offering Basis
Affirmative prayer training

A Course in Miracles will return to Unity on Cape Cod
Tuesday nights at 6:30 PM.
Come and join us for an adventure of Healing and Forgiveness. All are welcome. No previous experience with the Course is necessary.
Facilitated by Rev. Tony and Liliana Cryer
“The course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught. It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love’s presence, which is your natural inheritance.”
Filmmaker Dylan D’Haeze comes to Unity this Sunday!
Young filmmaker Dylan D’Haeze and his mother will be visiting us from the Pacific Northwest today. Dylan will be talking with the Sparks kids during the service. Then 15 minutes after the service ends we’ll show his second film, “The Tipping Point.” We showed his first film, “Plastic is Forever,” in our Film Series last April, and will be showing his newest film, “Everything Connects,” this coming April. So Sunday is your one chance to see the second film and to meet Dylan, an amazing young man!
Movie Walk with Me
Before the usual Sangha Meeting at Unity on Cape Cod
“Slow down and breathe. This contemplative journey follows in the steps of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh and is a rare insight into life within a monastic community. The sun rises. Everything is calm and still. Life is beautifully serene as Benedict Cumberbatch’s composed, meditative voice reads an extract from Thich Nhat Hanh’s early journals. So begins Max Pugh and Marc J Francis’ (Black Gold, LFF2006) fascinating and immersive exploration of what it means to devote one’s life to mindfulness. With unprecedented access to the famous secluded monastery of Plum Village in the South West of France, Walk With Me captures the daily routine and rituals of monks and nuns on a quest to develop a deep sense of presence. It is an insightful rumination on the pursuit of happiness, living in the present and our attachment to material things – a welcome remedy to the stresses of city life and a world in turmoil.”
