Lama Kathy

Mindfulness, Meditation & Compassion

Today’s busy world makes it difficult to maintain inner and outer balance. We’re often tired and weary, and feel as though we cannot complete our work and have balanced lives and relationships.
Lama Kathy will show us how meditation can slow down our frantic pace and give us a place of ease in which to find equilibrium. With peace of mind, we can begin to extend peace to others.

Teacher Biography,

Kathy Wesley (Lama Gyurme Choiso) has been a student of Kenpo Karthar Rinpoche sice 1977. She participated in the first three-year retreat led by Khenpo Rinpoche at Karme ling Retreat Center in Upstate New York, and thus earned the title of “retreat lama”. Lama Kathy now serves as Resident Teacher at Columbus Karma Thegsum Choling and travels to teach at other Buddhist centers throughout the country. Kathy is a graduate of Ohio Sate University with a Bachelor’s degree in journalism. She and her husband Mike live in Central Ohio.
